THE STORY
OF
MAIDENS BARN
For over 200 years, Maidens Farm has been in our family. The Elm Barn was once used to store hay, grain, and potatoes until 1975. Over time, the barn became run-down and was badly damaged in the 1987 storm. There was talk of taking it down, but instead, it was pulled upright again with the help of tractors!
In 1999, Clive and Katherine decided to restore the barn in time for a special family birthday in 2001. After seeing how beautiful it looked, they chose to open it as a wedding venue, and Maidens Barn has now been welcoming couples for 24 years!
In 2013, Alex, Katherine’s son, joined the family business, working alongside Clive and Katherine. Today, Alex and his wife Sam proudly continue to run Maidens Barn.

We take pride in being part of each couple’s journey — from the first viewing to the wedding day itself. Every celebration is unique, and we enjoy helping couples bring their vision to life. By the time the big day arrives, many of our couples feel more like friends than clients.
Our experienced team will be on hand throughout the whole planning process and there on the day itself, together we have over 45 years of experience within the industry!
